First of all, make sure you are using Apple earphones with a Remote and Mic.
If you are then I would check the Music and Video settings on your iPod. For music player your iPod should be set to "shuffle" and for <a href="https://www.cucumber7.com/”>https://www.youtube.com/”>https://www.cucumber7.com/ video playback you must have the "enable video" option switched on. Make sure the volume is CLEARLY set at 100% and also that you ARE using the earphones with a remote and mic.
